Is Da Center open yet?
Not as a permanent building. Da Center is currently portable — we bring healing circles, resource fairs, youth nights and community days directly into Fort Lauderdale neighborhoods while we work toward a permanent home.
Who can participate?
Youth, families, elders and neighbors of the whole community. Some individual events list an age range or eligibility note; unless a listing says otherwise, everyone is welcome.
Do programs and events cost anything?
Community events and healing, resource and connection support are offered free. If a specific activity ever requires a cost or materials fee, it is stated plainly on that event's page before you register.
Do I have to live in Fort Lauderdale?
No. Da Center currently serves Fort Lauderdale and surrounding communities, and we help anyone who reaches out — including pointing you toward support closer to where you live.
How do I request help?
Use the Get Help page or the resource request form. Tell us what you need and a person from Da Center follows up privately. Your request is never published.
Is what I share kept private?
Yes. Every form goes into a private, role-restricted staff system — not a public inbox. Personal information is never published, information about minors is handled with extra care, and community feedback can be shared anonymously.
How do I volunteer?
Start at Get Involved. You can volunteer at events, mentor a young person, offer a professional skill, or express interest in board service. Students needing service hours can say so on the form.
Can organizations partner with Da Center?
Yes. We welcome partnerships with schools, nonprofits, healthcare providers, faith communities and businesses on programming, resource fairs and referrals. Use the Partner page to start the conversation.
Where do donations go?
Gifts fund programming, supplies, community events and the work of opening a permanent Center. Da Center is not yet accepting online card payments; the donate page collects giving interest and we follow up directly.
Is Da Center a registered nonprofit?
Da Center is the public-facing name of TreMari's Da Center Community Outreach Inc. Nonprofit and tax-status wording, including any deductibility language, will be published on the Transparency page once the organization's IRS documentation is finalized for public use. We will not state it before then.
What if I'm in an emergency?
Call 911 for immediate danger, or call or text 988 for mental-health crisis support. Da Center is not an emergency service and cannot guarantee an immediate response.
